Asher Loves Cardboard Boxes
For Christmas, my mom and Dave bought us new blinds for our living room. While we adults enjoy the beautiful new blinds, better light and more open space (those are the blinds in the first picture!), Asher was enthralled with the blind boxes - long boxes that he instructed us to make into schools by cutting windows, doors and taping the top so it stayed open just so. We also have a small collection of cardboard boxes in the garage which he turned into spaceships, including one small one on which he taped, with about 3/4 of a roll of masking tape, a gun and "blasters." I have been expressly - er, strictly and loudly - instructed to absolutely not recycle these spaceships. They are, as Asher told me, art. And he MUST keep them. I had to sneak the "schools" out to the recycling after Asher was done playing with them.
