Asher's Room
I always love my children, but today, I have special affection for Asher because he is now - drum roll, please - sleeping in his own bed in the same room with Harper. This has not happened since September 2007. Harper, of course, thinks it's about the greatest thing in the world to have "Ashies" in her room; and Asher has been an absolute champ at sleeping in his bed, understanding to stay there until it's light outside, at which time he comes in to snuggle, and continuing to sleep in his bed even after receiving the much sought after Bumble Bee transformer (it was fun to play with while it was still in the box). We still need to work out a few kinks, like how to get Harper settled and asleep before 9:30 (she's just so excited) and helping Asher figure out which bedroom is his (yesterday, Davis Lowe was visiting, and Asher went into my room, with his bike helmet still on, and proudly told Davis, "And this is my room").
Pictured: Harper and Asher making the shelves in the bottom of our entertainment armoire into bunk beds, which was Asher's idea and greatly enjoyed by Harper. Apparantly, Asher thought he would need his gun.
