Harper topped the excitement of May with her tumble into one of our local ponds. She keeps our days pretty exciting with all the things she loves to do, includingcalling us nicknames (in May she started to call me Mom, Momma as well as Mommy and liked to call Asher, "Ash" - so cute)
eating hail, though not playing in it like Asher
putting her socks in her shoes and carrying her shoes together in one hand (she's pretty organized!)
giving her not always resistant warrior brother hugs
snuggling
putting together longer and longer sentences (i.e. "Asher shoes on!" because him having them off in the car really seemed to bother her one day)
feeding ducks at and walking around the pond
riding her trike
being carried aroundsharing examples of boo boos
doing a song and dance, in the living room and also on our back and front stoop, the perfect stages
wearing new shoes
playing with toy horses
playing with her babies - helping them to sit with her and in little chairs, giving them a pillow, blanket and kiss to go night, night, rescuing them from her bandito brother
telling me "no, no, no" when I'm whistling singing
watching videos of herself.
Like Asher, Harper amazes me by the things her little brain already knows, such as
buttons are for pushing (I named buttons on my shirt and pictures of clothing buttons in a book. She put her finger on them and said, "push")identifying my and Dad's cars (we walked by a blue Volvo stationwagon like mine one day, and she said, "Mommy car")
how to let out a hair raising scream.

They are so sweet and fabulous! You are a great mom to be raising such wonderful individuals.
Also, happy to hear how busy you've been as I was worrying about the longer than usual silence. Also happy that your busy-ness is ending and that you can be a bit more relaxed and at home soon.
